tower of london dealThe Tower of London - Founded by William the Conqueror in 1066 and enlarged and modified by successive sovereigns, today the Tower of London is one of the world's most famous and spectacular fortresses. The Tower of London has been an integral part of British royal history for nearly 1,000 years. Only at the Tower can you marvel at the breathtaking Crown Jewels, stand on the execution site of three English queens and hear the myths and legends that make a visit to the Tower a day out to die for! Although the Tower of London is today seen as a visitor attraction, it is also a thriving community; about 150 people still live within its walls, mainly the Yeoman Warders (or 'Beefeaters') and their families. Porters English Restaurant
Admittedly Porters hasn't been around quite as long as the Tower, a mere 29 years, which by London restaurant standards is actually quite an achievement. Owned by The 7th Earl of Bradford; Porters serves traditional English food, the policy of keeping standards high and prices low is definitely a recipe for success. 'One is tempted to say that before dining at Porters one should check with Mother and double check with Nanny that it is alright to have such an  unashamed indulgence. Prepare to return to the good old days and the reassurance that wholesome English food is what made the Empire great and can still delight and embolden the visitor to Covent Garden.

A two-course meal from Porters excellent table d'hote menu is included along with the fast-track ticket for the Tower of London.
